Dear members and friends,

May is soon here! I can say that I feel it not only in my heart, but “in my hands” as well, when I started to replant my old geraniums, preparing them for a (hopefully) warm summer. Wonderful feeling indeed!

Flowers were our April luncheon theme! What a nice time we had together! Thank
you, Christine Kullander for a wonderful demonstration of your artistic arrangements.
For sure, it was an inspiration to all of us and will help us to create beautiful
arrangements at home! Something for a workshop in the future?

Looking back to last month, I remember the lovely time we had at the Nigeria Ambassador’s residence. Thank you, Mrs. Tokoni Igali for delicious food and an interesting program.

When writing these lines, I look forward to the Cypriotic antiquities exhibition at the
Mediterranean Museum. We are very grateful to Mrs. Maria Anastasiades for her
kind invitation. I am sure it will be very much appreciated.

May is also the last month of our club year. How fast this year has run! It is now time
to attend one of the most important meetings of the year, the Annual General
Meeting.

Dear members, do not miss this opportunity to participate actively in the Club’s life
by presenting, discussing and voting important issues. It is very important that you attend this meeting as we have to reach a quorum of 50 members or it cannot take place. Please read carefully the AGM brochure and come to make your voice is heard.

We are very sorry for our dear member Inga Rumert who had an accident and broke
her leg during the trip to Copenhagen and the Louisiana.Art Museum. Inga, we wish
you a speedy recovery and hope that you will be able to be with us very soon.

At the end of this club year, I would like to express my sincere thanks to all of you
who, with your presence, have contributed to make IWC a nice meeting point in our
lives.

I wish you, members and your families, a lovely, warm, relaxing and safe summer,
wherever you are going to spend it. See you in September!
